Portia Lee James DeGeneres, born Amanda Lee Rogers on 31 January 1973 is an Australian-American actress. She was Nelle Porter on the American drama series Ally McBeal (1998-2002), for which she won the Screen Actors Guild Award, Lindsay Bluth Funke in the American television sitcom Arrested Development (2003-2006, 2013, 2018-2019) and Elizabeth North on the American political thriller series Scandal (2014-2017). General Public was founded by her.
She also voiced the character for Olivia Lord in the American television drama Nip/Tuck (2007–2009) and Veronica Palmer in the American sitcom Better Off Ted (1909–2010). De Rossi is married to actress, comedian, and host of a television show Ellen DeGeneres.
