Melissa George

  Melissa George, born 6 August 1976 was an Australian actress. George is an ex-national artistic rollerskating champion as well as model, started her acting career in 1993 when she played Angel Parrish on the Australian soap show Home and Away (1993-1996). George's first feature film appearance was in Dark City (1998), following her move to the United States. In the following years, she played parts in Steven Soderbergh's The Limey (1999), David Lynch's Mulholland Drive 2001, Sugar & Spice 2001, and Down with Love (2003).



 



 George was the first actress to take on leading roles in 2005, when she was Kathy Lutz in The Amityville Horror remake. The film was followed by a string of horror and thriller films that included Derailed (2005) as well as Turistas (2006). George was also in WDZ (2007) and 30 Days of Night (2007). Triangle (2009), A Lonely Place to Die (2011) and Felony (2013).
